We used 3/8" grey trap rock between the pavers. I believe it's also called dresser trap. Granite sand also works well or something with a lot of fines like 3/8" minus trap rock

The simple design of this really caught my eye. Are you using Paver sand between the pavers or a different sand mixture?

Hey, Thanks.

We get the concrete pavers locally at a stone and masonry wholesale and retail place. There must be a source for you in CA. I find a lot of 2'x2' exposed aggregate pavers or stamped and colored pavers. I know, probably not the look you're going for but you could look at using them upside down. They are usually just plain concrete on the bottom. Another option is to frame up a grid and pour the pavers in place.

Good Luck

Hi there!

Love your work. Quick question though...do you make the concrete pavers in the bottom two photos custom or can they be purchased? I am having a heck of a time finding a source for 24" square pavers like those!

Wish you were in CA!

Hi there Phillip. I take nature photos of my own. I just was looking through some websites and I wanted to comment on how beautifully yours have been taken. Looks like a keen eye and steady hand. Very nice!

Thank you for letting me enjoy these and sharing them with others.

Sincerely, Meghan
